Troops repel attack by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno

Troops have repelled a planned attack by terrorists in Mafa Friday evening in .
According to source among the Civilian Joint Task Force, whose name we are not mentioning for ethical reasons, the terrorists struck at about 6:20 pm along the axis of Kasasewa village in Mafa.
‘They came with not less than eight gun trucks and motorcycles, shooting sporadically but our soldiers, police and Civilian JTF members engaged them, forcing them to leave their ammunitions and run away,’ our source said.
He said some members of the terrorist group have been killed, without specifying the exact figure.
Military and other security sources are yet to speak on the incident.
In recent weeks, many reports have shown that Nigerian troops are winning decisively against the terrorists since the advent of a new operation, Operation Tura Takai Bongo.
