Three killed in random shooting in US

Three people have been killed in a shooting in Austin, Texas. Law enforcement agencies have not yet arrested anyone in connection with the shooting, which took place just before noon local time on Sunday. This was reported by CNN and The Guardian.

All roads in the Great Hills Tail and Rain Creek Parkway areas of Austin were closed shortly after the incident. said in a tweet that the shooter could not be apprehended.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) authorities said two adult women and a man were shot dead. There is still a risk of gunfire at the scene.

Austin police said the shooter could not be apprehended but was surrounded at a designated location by noon on Sunday. As a result, the locals are no longer at risk.

Police are trying to arrest a 41-year-old man, said Joe Chacon. According to local media reports, the suspect is probably a former county intelligence officer.
