Gunmen attacks palace kidnaps Monarch in Ekiti

Barely a week after some suspected kidnappers shot a traditional ruler in Ekiti in an attempt to kidnap him, another Monarch Oba David Obadu of Ilemeso-Ekiti in Oye LG area of Ekiti State has been reported kidnapped.

This time the king whose abductors are yet to make any contact was whisked away from his palace by unknown gunmen on Thursday evening.

The incident according to Reports reaching us indicated that the monarch was kidnapped on Thursday evening by yet to be identified gunmen who attacked the palace in a commando style by scaling the fence and shooting sporadically to probably scare families or anyone trying to make a defence.
The Gunmen then made away with the king and the town has since being thrown into confusion.

This unfortunate incident is coming after a traditional ruler Elewu of Ewu Ekiti, Oba Adetutu Ajayi, in the Ilejemeje Local Area was hospitalized following attacks by masked gunmen along the Ayetoro Ekiti-Ewu Road by firing at his vehicle whilst the king sustained bullet wounds and was only lucky to be alive.

It was gathered that the monarch was traveling to the neighboring Ayetoro Ekiti, in Ido/Osi Local Government Area when the gunmen struck.
