Fintiri ease curfew imposed on 3 LGA’s in Adamawa

The Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri has reviewed the curfew forced on Yola North, Yola South and Girei Local Areas of the State, following the activities of Shila boys and different reprobates in the society using Tricycles and Motorcycles.

The curfew, prior forced from 10pm to 5am (Local time), has now been eased to start from 11pm to 5am daily during the period of the Ramadan fast.

The review takes effect right away.

The Governor had on February, 2, 2021, imposes a night curfew on the three LGA’s ” using the Adamawa State restriction of Movement of Tricycles/Motorcycles Executive Order No.1 of 2021.”

The order is intended to check the abundances of gangsters threatening the territories, recommending a sentence of a half year imprisonment with a choice of fine or both as well as relinquishing the Tricycle or motorcycle.

The Governor said; “the review of the restriction of Movement was required by its longing to permit Muslim faithfuls observe unhindered Tafsir at their various Mosques during the Ramadan time frame.”

Governor Fintiri, be that as it may, directed security agencies to amplify security across the state, particularly in the three Local Councils of Yola North, Yola South and Girei by sending more personnel, to keep watch and guarantee the security of lives and property of occupants of the State.

He cautioned that anyone found penetrating the harmony will be dealt appropriately.
He added that;
“Security agencies will keep on releasing their obligations and occupants are encouraged to corporate with them to keep up the situation with our State as perhaps the most tranquil,” Fintiri expressed.

While wishing the Muslim Ummah a quiet Ramadan, the Governor encouraged them to hold fast to the Coronavirus rules, which include the use of protective face masks in public places.

“We encourage residents to maintain social distancing in public gatherings, customary handwashing and utilization of sanitizers. I appeal to inhabitants not to empower any activity that may turn back the clock, yet to continue to live in agreement and fortify the solidarity that we are known for,” he said.
