Federal Polytechnic Monguno gets N100m for take off

State has donated N100m to support the take-off of Polytechnic Monguno, recently approved by the federal government.

The sum of N50 million was given through Ministry of Higher Education for rehabilitation works at a proposed temporary site of the polytechnic, while additional N50 million was given to the polytechnic’s management for commencement of operations.

Muhammadu approved the establishment of the institution in January, being the first federal polytechnic in the state.

The governor, while announcing the development, assured his administration’s committed to complement the efforts of the federal government in ensuring that all necessary requirements are met for the polytechnic to function.

Prof. Garba revealed that the new polytechnic is planning to start enrollment of students by October, 2021.

He reiterated the commitment of the polytechnic’s management towards the success of the tertiary institution for the development of the state.

The pioneer rector was accompanied by the register of the polytechnic, Adamu Alh. Usman, the bursar, Mohammed Ali Abadam and the librarian, Bukar Ali Wasaram.
