Court Jails Two Students For Internet Crime

The The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Ibadan zone office, on Wednesday secured the verdicts of Opeemi Olasumbo Folarin and Ogunsee Ajibola Olamilekan before judge Patricia Ajoku of the Court in Ibadan on representation of fraud.

Statements by the Commission’s media chief, Wilson Iwujare, in Ibadan on Thursday morning indicated that the two pleaded guilty to the charges.
Judge Ajoku sentenced Folarin and Dike to six and seven months in prison, respectively.
The judge also ordered Folarin to confiscate his iPhone XR from the Nigerian government, while ordering Ogusee to reimburse his victim for $ 700 and his iPhone 6, an Apple Series 6 watch, an Apple, to confiscate his MacBook and PlayStation 4 gamepad for the Nigerian .
