Chief of Defence Staff seeks traditional ruler’s cooperation to end insurgency in
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor, on Sunday paid his first operational visit to the traditional ruler in Borno.
He was accompanied by the Chief of Army Staff, Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Isiaka Amao and the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Gambo.
Irabor, along with his team, was received by his royal highness Abubakar Umar Garbai at his palace.
Irabor noting that the state is one of the peaceful state in the north before the insurgency emerged, Irabor asked his royal highness for his cooperation in the fight against insurgency in the state.
His royal highness said “it is always our wish to see an end to the insurgency in state, noting that some of the local government area’s monarch has been disrupted by the boko Haram.
