The Yobe State University branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) said it would embark on a two-week warning strike with effect from Tuesday, 8th June 2021 if its demands as contained in the earlier resolution dated 18th January 2021 and 18th February 2021 are not attended to.
Mohammed Saje, Branch Chairperson of ASUU, Yobe State University, stated this in a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor titled ‘Notice of Local Strike Action’.
He said the congress took the decision after a meeting held on 25th May 2021.

The union after consultations has resolved and directed its members to embark on a two weeks warning strike with effect from Tuesday 8th June 2021 if its demands as contained in the earlier resolution are not attended to.
