Asup Strike: polytechnic students issues 48 hours ultimatum to FG

The National Association of Nigerian Polytechnic NAPS on Tuesday issued a 24 hours ultimatum to the government and the Academic staff union of polytechnic to end it’s ongoing nationwide industrial action.

The students union made this known in an emergency NEC meeting held in , the nation’s headquarters.

NAPS said the should settle the lingering issues or face the wrath of the Nigerian students.

The NAPS president stated that there is no going back on their decision adding that the union have written to the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education.

“There is no going back on this decision. And We have written to the Federal Ministry of Education” the president Said.

While speaking with newsmen just before the NEC meeting, the Students Union Government representatives of RAMAT Polytechnic, state said Boko-Haram insurgents are the main issue the polytechnic is facing.

According to them, “we ran yesterday while traveling down to Abuja for the fear of being attacked. The said Boko-Haram is real and has been their major issue.”
